The Nintendo Switch 2 will apparently launch before Summer 2025, with a reveal coming later this month.
Put on your tinfoil hats on for this one because as usual, there’s no concrete evidence to support this claim nor official word from Nintendo.
Speaking of Nintendo, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is taking us back to one of the Nintendo Wii’s best platformers.
According to insider Nexthandheld, Nintendo will announce its next home console, reportedly named the Nintendo Switch 2, later this month.

This will then lead to a launch sometime in March or April, which some fans are dismissing as completely ludicrous, believing that’s not enough time to market, advertise and meet stock demands.
Others believe it could be a smart move from the company though, like this commenter who said, “A two to three month sprint for an incremental upgrade could work if Nintendo’s advertising gets aggressive enough. It fits with today’s short attention span/instant-gratification society.”
People have been longing for an upgrade for the Switch since the console first came out. Partner that up with some solid launch titles, maybe even the next Pokémon game, and you’d have a successful launch in my opinion.
Another user made a good point saying, “Donkey Kong Remastered isn't really a big deal for Nintendo so next week isn't off the list as well, and even if it is, we still have two weeks more. Really hoping the March/April release is true as well, I can't wait any longer man, the hype is too real.”

Of course, we need to take these rumours for what they are, rumours. It’d be nice to see the Nintendo Switch 2 announced sooner rather than later but consoles do prefer that end-of-year launch window, so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see the next Nintendo console follow-suit.
