The Nintendo community seems pretty convinced that they’ve found the exact release date of the Nintendo Switch 2, and seeing the amount of research that’s been put into the theory is almost enough to convince me that they’re on to something.
Thank you in advance to Game Rant's Dalton Cooper for the original story!
A lot of Nintendo fans online have been referencing the same supposed date for the Nintendo Switch 2 release date recently: May 15th.

But, where has this suddenly come from? And why are they so convinced? Well, it almost definitely has to do with a post from one ThunderStash Gaming, who used the power of paying for a Twitter checkmark to post the longest essay I’ve ever seen on the platform.
There's literally too much info to distill into one news post here, so I'll give you the cliffnotes.
Firstly, Doom: The Dark Ages has a May 15 release date. Doom and Nintendo have a bit of a synonymous relationship, so many think this points to the title being a Nintendo Switch 2 launch game.
Secondly, the "Nintendo Switch 2 Experience" events are running from April 4 to May 11 across several regions. It's theorised that this is to hype up the system's release date, which will have assumedly been announced by the time these events begin.

There's also a LEGO Mario Kart set dropping on May 15. It is a bit suspicious that it's on the same date as Doom: The Dark Ages, and apparently it also breaks LEGO's pattern of releasing sets at the start of a month and on weekends.
Even more coincidentally, Nintendo's new San Francisco location just happens to open its doors on, you guessed it, May 15.
Ok, well, at this point I’m a believer. If the Nintendo Switch 2 doesn’t drop on May 15, then clearly something important is… but I can’t think of anything more important to Nintendo than the release of their next console.
