Tomorrow, we’ll finally hear more about the gubbins inside the Nintendo Switch 2, in an official Nintendo Direct showcasing the hardware.
Fans have long speculated just how powerful the unit will be, knowing that Nintendo will always hold back some power for affordability and accessibility.
We'll get a better look at the Switch 2 in the coming days
A recent rumour has some fearful that the Nintendo Switch 2 won’t be as powerful as we thought.

The rumour sparked on the latest episode of Insider Gaming Weekly with Tom Henderson, where he states that he heard some information from a developer working on a Switch 2 game.
“I heard this from one developer at GDC and also heard it separately in an email, but the dev kits, or some of the dev kits, don't have a 4K output,” says Henderson.
This is a pretty shocking revelation, if true, as many assumed that 4K gaming on the Nintendo hybrid console was a given.
This is just a rumour, and information can change rapidly, so while Henderson is reporting what he knows at the time, it could swiftly change.

Pushing into 4K resolutions would increase the price of the hardware, which isn’t a priority for Nintendo, who have traditionally marketed their consoles at lower prices suitable for families.
You might want to take this information with a pinch of salt, as often developer kits don’t reflect the eventual product.
There’s also the stark possibility that Nintendo will somehow upscale the games displayed, while not achieving true 4K resolutions, they would still look lush.
All will be revealed tomorrow, in the Nintendo Direct, which will also reveal a launch date, price, and pre-order window.

Eager fans will be watching along, and discussion will break out on the potential for the new console, hopefully, with some indication of a few titles that will launch on day one.
