We just can’t stop ourselves from speculating about the Nintendo Switch 2.
For months now, we’ve been questioning when it’ll be announced, as well as debating when it’ll likely be released.
Nothing has yielded firm answers, but there’s been much speculation spread.

This is how we’ve arrived at this shipping update.
As you may have already guessed, this isn’t concrete evidence of when the Switch 2 might launch. That said, fans believe it gives clues about its launch date.

On Famiboards, new information about Nintendo’s hardware has come to light.

According to user LiC, as per ComicBook, NVIDIA shipped over “800,000 units” of NVIDIA T239 to Nintendo back in September.
This is significant, if true, because said units went to “Nintendo’s contract assemblers”.
What this suggests is that production for the Switch 2 is fully underway, which in turn means that its launch date may be closer than we expected.
If you recall, it was only last week that I discussed the rumoured launch date for the Switch 2.

As much as we’d love this information to be accurate, as with any type of leak or insider gossip, we have to remain cautious.
Without Nintendo’s confirmation, this could be another red herring that gets us hyped up for nothing.
Arguably, this is why fans are divided about its release date.
Some assume it’ll be announced at The Game Awards, and thus launch early next year, while others believe Nintendo will announce it randomly via a social media post or something obscure.
