The Nintendo GameCube may be making its long-awaited comeback on the Nintendo Switch 2.
Fans have been begging Nintendo to bring back some of the most beloved titles of the GameCube era, many of which have had their time in the sun again like Super Mario Sunshine and Metroid Prime.
The fans want Zelda though, specifically The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker or The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
With the Nintendo Switch 2 having its official Direct later today, there’s arguably no better time to give us what we want, and the latest leaks suggest that might actually be on the cards.

Podcaster NateTheHate recently said he’s “heard GameCube will be coming to NSO. It's just a question of when, not if."
NateTheHate has a decent track record of correctly revealing the GameBoy and Nintendo 64 catalogues coming to Nintendo Switch Online.
If Nintendo really is bringing back GameCube games to its latest Switch console, it makes you wonder how exactly the company will do it.
As said before, there have already been a few GameCube games re-released for Switch but as standalone titles, like Metroid Prime Remastered.

Will additional GameCube titles be released in the same way or will they become a new tier for Nintendo Switch Online? Which would be the better outcome?
It’d be nice to get some answers during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct later today, but I’m not holding my breath; it feels like today’s presentation will only be about the first-party titles coming to the console at launch and in the following months after release.
I could be wrong though, and I hope I am, but we’ll just have to wait and see. The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct kicks off later today at 2pm for UK readers, and will be an hour long presentation.
