Nintendo fans roast surprise hardware reveal

Nintendo fans roast surprise hardware reveal

It's not what anyone expected

Nintendo has released information about upcoming hardware and it’s not the Switch 2. This has left fans feeling all kinds of ways.

It turns out that the hardware Nintendo has been working on is an alarm clock called Alarmo. Yes, you read that right.

We adored the latest Zelda game where you finally get to play as Princess Zelda

It’s not a new console, or even some fancy hardware to use alongside your Nintendo Switch, and fans are responding very normally.

“Imagine getting this and setting the theme to ring fit adventure,” said Twitter user, RossTweetsGames.

While another user said, with all the sarcasm in the world, “Does it alert us to Nintendo events, such as Directs or Hardware Reveals??”

Of course, this was never going to be what fans wanted. We all want information on the Switch 2, and while the alarm clock does look great, it’s left us all wanting.

There are plenty of replies to the announcement tweet saying things like, “Officially done with switch 2 speculation now.” or this one from Sunshine11037, “This is a weird successor to the switch.”

It’s great bit of kit and it will actually monitor your sleep behaviour similarly to a smartphone, tracking how much you move in your sleep.

This prompted my favourite Twitter reply that said, “‘Up for-a pee again? Wha-hoo!’”

Then there’s the tweet that’s very ‘on-the-nose’ with, “I need the most Nintendo thing ever…no, that’s TOO Nintendo.”

I really like the idea of it, but at $99.99 it feels like I could get my phone to do all of this, really. Plus, all we really want at this point is the Switch 2 announcement.

It’s like waiting for Christmas, we know it will be here soon, but the impatience is nearing critical, so announcing something like this is a major troll on Nintendo’s part.

Although it’s a very Nintendo thing to do, so I respect it.
