Metal Gear Solid fans stunned by photorealistic new Unreal Engine 5 game that'll blow your mind

We can't tell what's real and what isn't

It takes quite a bit to impress the Metal Gear Solid fandom, yet this Unreal Engine 5 title appears to have done just that.

Although a new Metal Gear Solid game is coming, updates regarding its progress aren’t readily available.

Since the new Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater trailer dropped, news has been few and far between.

Understandably, fans are looking for alternate ways to entertain themselves, and they may have just found it in this mind-blowing Unreal Engine 5 experience.

Black State is a Motion Blur game that tells a “rich, mysterious, and emotional” story.

Although it doesn’t have a release date as of yet, that doesn’t stop what we’ve seen thus far from being incredibly promising.

Inspiration has clearly been taken from Hideo Kojima’s cinematic mastery of Metal Gear Solid but also Death Stranding, too.

The level of detail seen from both screenshots and the trailer depicts a near-photorealistic world awaiting players in Black State.

In some scenes, it’s difficult to tell reality from fiction.

“Thanks to our special pipeline, developed after a long R&D process, we can produce the most photorealistic graphics with unbelievable optimisation,” remarked Motion Blur.

“Our focus is to ensure that all gamers can enjoy Black State with stunning, immersive visuals that enhance the overall experience.”

Black State definitely has our attention.

YouTube user @miguelcabanillas8539 spoke of how “awesome” Black State looks, and that it’s now “on their radar”.

“I'm buying this on the release day,” said another.

There are many already praising this Motion Blur title without knowing how it plays, which is credit to the developers for creating such an alluring teaser for their upcoming game.

Its Steam page is already live, meaning you can learn more about this release to better prepare.

This may not be a Solid Snake narrative, but it feels like one, and damn, does it look fantastic.
