Gamescom Opening Night Live just concluded, and it ended with an absolute banger of an announcement, a brand-new Mafia game.
The game is titled Mafia: The Old Country, and looks to be taking things back to before the events of the first game, though we don't know for sure just yet.

For those who've never played them, the Mafia series is a fantastic trilogy of games all about the life of crime.

Hangar 13, the studio behind several Mafia titles has delivered banger after banger, so hopefully Mafia: The Old Country follows-suit.
Unfortunately all we have to go on so far is a quick teaser trailer, with some lovely cinematic shots and narration hinting at what kind of story we could be seeing in the full game.
It's unclear when we might see actual gameplay, but more details are on the cards for later this year, specifically December.
The release date, or rather the release window, for the game is yet to be revealed, though more details will be shared later this year.
