We're all just waiting for summer to come around; not just for the sunny weather, but so we can finally see what this Hogwarts Legacy update is all about. It's been teased for awhile now, yet few solid details are known. Speculation has been rife, but that doesn't mean any of what we've heard is true.
It seems the developers are keen to remind us of that fact, too.
Magic awaits you at Hogwarts Legacy, even if exciting updates do not
Chandler Wood, the community manager for Hogwarts Legacy, has taken to social media to try and "clarify" a few things about the update, but without giving too much away. Whenever someone says they want to "set some expectations", you know that you're likely to be underwhelmed rather than dazzled.

When you read Chandler's tweets altogether, it feels like an inventive way to deliver disappointing news, as many Redditors agree. "I definitely feel like 'small' was the keyword here. It reads like an example sentence in any copywriting class on how to deliver bad news, but the actual message got lost in the intentionally positive wording," said one user.
"We appreciate all the love and support, don't expect a lot with this update," joked another. As you can see, expectations have been lowered as Chandler intended.

How far we've come from only a few weeks ago when fans were still confused over why Hogwarts Legacy didn't got a GOTY nomination. With recent developments suggesting that the sequel will be live service, the sentiment towards this Harry Potter RPG is been soured; not that people will stop playing, but they will complain about it.
We hope, at the very least, the 'Haunted Hogsmeade' DLC becomes available for all players, as a bare minimum – we're owed that much. As for anything else, it'll be an average bonus unless Chandler is yanking our chain about this update.
