Hogwarts Legacy players just found an entirely new hidden area we never knew about

Hogwarts Legacy has been hiding more secrets from us than we realised, as proven by the new area that’s been discovered over a year since its release.

This latest discovery is separate from the Souls-like discovery that has FromSoftware fans smiling from ear to ear, thanks to a subtle reference to the beloved dark franchise. No, this one is different, but equally steeped in mystery and dark energy.

Redditor Harley4L, who’s also a Slytherin, shared a screenshot from Hogwarts Legacy that shows a concealed "tunnel” in between the roots of the tree underneath Bakar’s Tower. Surrounding the entrance are bones, further increasing the ominous vibes this area is giving off.

Although most have “never noticed” this location before, there are some who’ve also stumbled upon it, though they’re as in the dark about its meaning as the OP. “I just googled this because I’m also standing in front of it. Did you figure out if you can go inside? I’m not able to get in the hole.”

The OP quickly responded, confirming that you can’t enter the tunnel, before adding that they suspect it’s “perhaps a leftover of cut content”. They also mentioned how the number of bones “strewn around the tree is weird too”.

Since this unearthing, other fans are eagerly returning to Hogwarts to find this location for themselves; not that they’ll get any further answers as to why it’s there, or what it hides. Of course, there are other reasons to return to the famed Harry Potter school – like playing the alternate ending that fans have always wanted.

We might never learn what lurks beneath that old, wizened tree. But we do know that something is amiss with it. Maybe the Hogwarts Legacy sequel will shed some light on it, or maybe it’ll remain a frustrating little mystery.

Whatever happens, it’s chillingly intriguing.
