Hogwarts Legacy may soon be celebrating its two-year anniversary but with a substantial player base still exploring the RPG, it is no wonder that secrets are still being uncovered.

Released in February 2023, Hogwarts Legacy went on to become the year’s best-selling game despite the controversy surrounding its links to Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling.

Now almost two years on and the Avalanche Software RPG is still going strong with 17,000 players logging in over the last 24 hours on Steam, according to SteamDB.

With a whole castle to explore as well as its surrounding areas and heaps of lore to dive into, it is no wonder that players are not yet done with Hogwarts Legacy.

As a result, a recent discovery could indeed hint at the highly-anticipated sequel.

Spotted by Reddit user juustyuri over on r/HarryPotterGame, a message can be found in the Undercroft and may have been written by Professor Isidora herself.

The message ends with, “Percival is hiding something”, but with players unable to talk to Isidora’s painting, they are none the wiser as to what she meant when she scribbled down the message.

As a refresher, Isidora was the Professor of Defence Against the Dark Arts in the Tudor period and a student of the Keepers.

It was the Keepers job to safeguard and conceal ancient magic from the wider wizarding population but Isidora disagreed with this and began to use her powers to heal the suffering of those she came across.

However, her courageous goal soon started to cause more harm than good and she was labelled as dangerous by the Keepers who ultimately brought about her death.

Before this, she managed to build a repository where she kept her extracted emotional magic but this secret was kept hidden by the Keepers and ultimately turned into nothing more than a myth.

However, it seems as though Percival, the leader of the Keepers, was indeed hiding something and fans hope that this will be explored in Hogwarts Legacy 2.

“I was suspicious of The Keepers, especially the main guy with the big beard,” The_First_Curse_ commented.

“They can totally do a twist in the sequel where he's been a villain the whole time and has been manipulating everyone or something. Maybe he's somehow still alive and the other Keepers don't know...That would be a crazy reveal.”
