Hogwarts Legacy players are so desperate for a better ending that they’re writing their own, and they’re so much better.
Hogwarts Legacy is still a very popular game, no doubt helped by its availability on just about every console/platform, from PC to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Sega Dreamcast etc…

I may have made up the Sega Dreamcast bit but you get the idea, it’s pretty easy to get hold of which is probably why it sauntered out of 2023 as the year’s best-selling game.

However, while it got a lot of praise from fans, many of which thought it should have been nominated for at least one Game Award last year, many still have their problems with it.
Association with J.K Rowling aside, many felt that after the main story the world felt barren with very little else to see and do, and the actual ending to the story has always been a point of contempt with fans.
In fact, some have so passionately hated the ending of the game that many have decided to write their own instead.
That brings us to a Reddit post by user shbangabang, who said: “I had built up in my head that there would be a big twist. Isadora was somehow still alive. Miriam was still alive and was Isadora all along. Professor Fig was working alongside his wife all along and wanted the power for himself.”

They went on to say “The ending was so...straightforward and it also felt really easy, played it on hard mode which I never do for games.”
Other players agreed, with some saying it was “too safe,” and that the one obvious plot point that could have been explored just never was.
Hopefully Hogwarts Legacy 2 features a more fleshed out story, as well as more choice to make so players can bend the narrative to their own beliefs and desires.
