Hogwarts Legacy 2 is seemingly in development, as developer Avalanche Software is expanding its team for a “High-Profile AAA Title.”
Despite some initial backlash because of J.K Rowling’s existence, Hogwarts Legacy sauntered out of 2023 as the year’s best-selling game which made a sequel all but inevitable. Since then fans have been patiently waiting for an official update on the sequel’s existence.

Now it seems like they won’t have too long to wait, as the game’s developer Avalanche Software is reportedly hiring for its next “High-Profile AAA Title,” which has got to be Hogwarts Legacy 2 right?

The job on offer, as reported by GameRant, is for Lead/Advanced Technical Artist, with a requirement of employment being "strong Unreal and Python/C++ experience" implying the next game might use Unreal Engine 5.
Of course fans must take this with a pinch of salt, as until Avalanche Software or Warner Bros Games confirms the project’s existence it might as well not exist.
That being said, it'd be a huge missed opportunity if a sequel didn’t get a greenlight. Despite the aforementioned controversy and being snubbed at the 2023 Game Awards, Hogwarts Legacy was a massive success for Harry Potter games. There’s also plenty of room for growth, as while the game was a success on PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Nintendo platforms there was a lot of content fans were hoping to see that didn’t make it into the game.
Modders have been working around the clock to add some of these features in, but an official release that ties them all together in a more coherent way would definitely make more sense.

If this job advert is anything to go off, Hogwarts Legacy 2 is definitely on the cards. After all fans want it and it’ll probably be another best-seller for Warner Bros Games, so it’s win-win right?
