Fans are losing hope that the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer will drop today, 26 October, and I’m inclined to agree with them.
Given how Rockstar Games’ track record of randomly throwing out a game announcement on social media and its website, Grand Theft Auto fans are on the edge of their seats with anticipation.

Both Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 were announced on a day in October, leading many to believe the same will be said for Grand Theft Auto VI. Truth be told there’s been some suspicious activity from the company that might confirm the theory, like throwing all the Halloween content for GTA V Online at the beginning of the month, possibly leaving space for next game’s announcement.
However as the month comes to an end, many are now losing hope that we’re any closer to seeing GTA VI in action.
One fan, aurum616, expressed their concern on Reddit, saying they’d “been keeping a keen eye on Rockstars website updates” and noticed several updates. Unfortunately, these updates were related to “font spacing,” for Red Dead Redemption advertisements, leading them to conclude “no one in their right mind would waste time making the RDR-style homepage perfect-looking by pixel peeping the font spacing.”
Other fans were inclined to agree, though many claimed they’d tempered their expectations anyway to not be too disappointed when nothing is revealed. Some also took the opportunity to mock how a game’s unreleased reveal trailer has caused so much controversy and discourse.

“I wasn’t really expecting a full trailer anyway, I was just expecting a reveal. A logo or a trailer date.”
“I promise you a reveal is coming out on the 26th. I have a very reputable source. (The voices are getting louder)”
“The fact everyone is starting to say it's not coming means it is.”
There’s still time for Grand Theft Auto VI to be unveiled today, and I’m sure thousands are waiting with bated breath to see if it happens.
