GTA VI’s trailer has only been out for just over a month, yet it continues to smash records.
While our first glimpse at the game didn’t exactly go to plan it did result in us seeing it earlier than expected. Rockstar Games had planned the GTA VI trailer’s release in advance but was forced to drop it a day early when the full thing was leaked online.

Stand out moments were a closer look at the two protagonists, Lucia and Jason, as well as the glorious new open world. GTA VI marks the return of Vice City but will expand the county to new areas, all of which is based on real-life Florida, though residents are saying Rockstar’s depiction of their home is scarily accurate.
Back to the trailer though, it’s currently sitting at around 168 million views, with 11 million likes and over 850,000 comments. While the trailer has already broken a few records it’s now broken one more, surpassing Minecraft from the most-watched video game trailer.
Minecraft has 167 million views, with the trailer itself releasing in 2011. This is an impressive feat for GTA VI considering it’s beaten that milestone in just over a month.
Many are taking it as a telling sign the full game’s launch will go on record as the biggest media product release of all time/
