Over the last few months, an ocean of leaks and rumours regarding the game’s announcement and release date have flooded the internet, and while most have been dead wrong in their predictions, fans have a good feeling about this month.

That being said, some are officially over all the build-up, taking the stance that if you’re not expecting something, you won’t be disappointed when it doesn’t arrive.
Reddit user RojaTop perfectly summarised this with a post saying: “Which way Rockstar?” It was accompanied by a meme of a cow choosing which path to follow to get to the GTA VI announcement, with one path called “When we least expect it,” and the other “History of predictable dates.”
It perfectly encapsulates the feverish debates that have been taking place regarding GTA VI’s release date, with some believing it’ll drop whenever Rockstar feels like it, whereas others are convinced it’ll follow the same pattern as GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2’s reveals.
“If the game releases in 2024 it’s safe to say that the game could be announced between October 2023 and February 2024, expecting a release date of q4 2024.”

“Who cares about the game. Hype and speculation are the real fun here.”
“I would like a trailer out of nowhere and the internet explodes in the first hour afterwards when the message spreads”
There’s still no telling when an announcement video could drop, so for many, it’s back to Rockstar’s social media channels, relentlessly scanning them for clues or irregularities, while others analyse any fresh leaks that surface online.
When it eventually releases, GTA VI will launch for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and possibly PC.
