Before we know it, we'll be seeing in the new year. Time flies, as the saying goes.
This means, amongst other things, that we’ll have entered GTA VI’s release year. After years of waiting, its launch will be close enough to touch.
At least, that’s what GTA fans are hoping.

The nearer we get to its release date, the more the fandom begins to worry that something will derail the game and cause delays.
In a GTA VI subreddit post, Far_Astronaut_4795 remarked on being “so close” to release day.
One day, we'll have a different GTA VI trailer to show you. But today isn't that day
Back in 2023, 2025 seemed so far away, yet now it’s right around the corner.

Although we, and other fans, get where the OP is coming from, not everyone is convinced this Rockstar title will launch as planned.
“If we make it passed March without a delay then I'll get hype,” replied iilDiavolo.
They’re not alone in their caution.
So much so that the majority of the fandom is too anxious to really breathe easy until the game is installing on their consoles.

“It’s going to get delayed. I guarantee it. Name a modern AAA that hasn’t been,” commented Ye-Man-O-War.
Further down in the comments another fan said, “There’s still a possibility for a delay.”
We’d like to say that isn’t true, but deep down we know that it could happen – fans will be pissed if it does, but that won’t change anything.
When GTA VI does launch though, it’s going to be a big game.

The sheer size of it is causing some gamers to plan ahead and book a whole month off work just to play it.
With such unreal levels of detail already spied from the trailer and leaks, fans are more than ready to experience the game first-hand.
Only time will tell if they get to do so as scheduled.
