Grand Theft Auto VI’s second trailer continues to elude us.
Both the trailer and game’s release date were not mentioned during Take-Two Interactive’s latest earnings call, despite many fans expecting that to be the case.
GTA VI was mentioned though, with Take-Two confirming that the upcoming Rockstar Games release is still on track to launch this coming fall / autumn.

That should see the game land between September and November, music to the ears of those who feared GTA VI might’ve been delayed.
Or so you’d think.
Despite the fact that Take-Two confirmed that GTA VI hasn’t been delayed, GTA VI fans are still fearful of … a delay?!
You’re stuck with the game’s original trailer for now.
Yes, you heard me.

For some reason, the delay fears have not gone away.
“Didn’t they delay RDR2 at the May call, and said it was still on track in the Feb call? It could still be delayed, we won’t know for certain until May,” wrote Reddit user HomeMadeShock.
“The biggest ‘barrier’ is the May call lol. RDR2 was on track in Feb 2017 and was delayed in May,” echoed Ordinary_Duder.
Of course, yes, until the game has gone gold, the chance that it could be delayed never really disappears.

That being said, there’s no reason why GTA VI should mirror the pattern of Red Dead Redemption 2.
They’re two completely different games that have likely had two completely different development cycles.
That likely won’t stop fans from counting down to Take-Two’s next earnings call with baited breath.
Hopefully, it’ll finally bring us some new information because as brilliant as GTA VI’s original trailer is, I’d love to finally hear developers talking about some of the game’s unique features.

In the meantime, you’ll find me enjoying what I assume are the final months of GTA Online.
Surely, GTA VI will be accompanied by a new online successor which I’m personally buzzing for.
