GTA 6's overhauled Wanted system has fans seriously impressed

Evading capture may prove easier

Despite a lack of official information, the GTA fandom has managed to learn a lot from GTA VI’s only trailer.

Fans have dissected every frame of the GTA VI trailer; in doing so, it’s led to a discovery that has would-be players impressed.

User clevererest_username took to r/GTA6 having only just noticed that a new Wanted system seems to be used.

The OP shared their theory alongside an image of Jason in a car as he tries to evade police.

It’s an image we’ve seen countless times, yet it’s all too easy to overlook smaller details when we’re too hyped about the in-game footage.

What else can you spot in the GTA VI trailer?

“The cops must not have a description of the suspect so they just drive by Jason and Lucia here who are fleeing the scene of the crime the cops are headed to,” theorises the OP.

In response, OrganizationNo203 references another scene in the trailer, this time when Lucia and Jason have robbed a local store.

“In one of the leaks when Jason and Lucia are robbing the Diner [...] a little message pop up at the top saying that the cops have full description of the vehicle they used to get away, so there could very well be a new element to the wanted system.”

Redditor Upbeat-Original-7137 adds, “They mention this in the GTA VI document compiled using all the leaks. Using masks will also help concealer your identity.”

This will definitely make escaping the cops much easier, and should ensure that switching cars when wanted by the police will actually work.

Even though this is meant to happen in GTA V, the police would “spawn near you and just so happen to go in your direction”, ultimately rendering the in-game feature useless.

With such a “ridiclously large map” to explore, it’s somewhat of a relief to know that should we catch the police’s attention, we should be able to sneak by them with greater ease.

It’s just one of many updated features that has fans desperate to play, however, they’re still not certain if it’ll be worth the cost.

Some argue that “no game” should cost as much as the rumours about GTA VI's price continue to circulate.

Only time will tell if that’s a fair statement or not.
