Fallout 5 is still a long way off, but don’t worry, the modding community has all you need to start a new post-apocalyptic adventure for free.
I’m sure Bethesda would have loved to say Starfield is the most popular game it’s ever made, but it seems like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4 still reign supreme for the time being, at least until Starfield gets official mod support next year.
Starfield made its way onto GAMINGbible's 2023 Game Of The Year list, check out the rest of our picks below!
That being said those who favour the Fallout series have a long wait ahead of them until they can next explore the wastelands, in-game anyway as the upcoming Amazon TV show might scratch the itch for a time.

Until Fallout 5 arrives, or the next-gen update for Fallout 4, it’s up to the modding community to keep the fans entertained, with new gameplay additions, new stories and new open worlds, one of which deserves a spotlight.
Fallout 4: Horizon is the name of this expansion, and is a major overhaul to the gameplay and visuals, with a focus on Survival Mode. This is the extreme difficulty that makes enemies tougher, equipment weaker, and forces the player to keep track of their rest, hydration and more when exploring the Commonwealth. It’s not for the faint of heart, and the Horizon expansion makes it even harder.
It essentially tweaks and rebalances the mode to make it more challenging and immersive, so if you love playing Fallout games like a survival game instead of an arcade-like RPG, this is the mod for you.
Not only will the enemy encounters be different, you’ll also be able to add more tools and abilities to your arsenal, which you’ll need as the threats of the Commonwealth are armed and dangerous with more weapons and protection.
