Dark Souls 3 remaster tease leaves fans furious

Dark Souls 3 remaster tease leaves fans furious

Return to Lothric

Dark Souls is without a doubt one of my favourite video game trilogies of all time, and I’m thrilled to hear Dark Souls 3 could be getting a remaster even if other fans are not.

That said, I can understand the frustration fans may be feeling as it’s been years and we’ve still not gotten that Bloodborne remaster despite all the power of the PlayStation 5 and the newly released PlayStation 5 Pro.

Yet according to the latest rumours FromSoftware is currently working on a remaster for Dark Souls 3, likely just an enhanced version that boosts the resolution and increases the framerate, nothing too crazy.

Obviously take this with a pinch of salt but it’d make sense since we already have a Dark Souls remaster, and Dark Souls 2: Scholar Of The First Sin is sort of a remaster but that’s debatable.

Fans haven’t taken the rumour well though, with many up in arms about how Bloodborne isn’t getting the remaster treatment despite being the older game.

They shared their outrage in a Reddit thread reporting the rumours by AnchovyKing, with one commenter saying “you can tell this might actually be true because it doesn’t say it’s Bloodborne.”

Dark Souls 3 remaster before Bloodborne? We’re living in a Dark Souls loop,” added another, and honestly they’re not wrong as it feels like we’ll get an Elden Ring remaster before Bloodborne gets another chance to shine.

That said other fans like me are up for a return to Lothric, with one saying “I don't feel like DS3 is dated enough to need a remaster but I'll gladly take it if it does happen.”

Again take the rumours of a Dark Souls 3 remaster with a grain of salt, as until it’s officially announced it’s best to act like it doesn’t exist.
