Knowing there will be no Baldur’s Gate 3 DLC, or even a Baldur’s Gate 4 has been difficult to process for the fandom. However, while Larian Studios isn’t expanding the game with new quests, it is introducing more endings.
When Larian Studios confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 4 isn’t happening, that breaking news almost broke us (okay, so mostly me as far as the GAMINGbible team is concerned). After investing hundreds of hours into romancing Astarion and Gale, to the point of it taking over our lives, knowing there’s no more romps to have with them cuts deep.
Seeing the Baldur's Gate 3 launch trailer will never get old
Thankfully, though, while a sequel or DLC isn’t on the cards, more endings to the already generous collection are incoming. Better still, they’re going to be evil.

As someone who’s only played through as Dark Urge by resisting those impulses, I’ve yet to properly play the game in a dastardly way; my choices are sometimes chaotic, but I typically side with good. Nevertheless, while I won’t see said evil endings unless watching another’s playthrough, I’m still excited to see the current story receiving the love it deserves.
During an interview with IGN, BG3 director, Swen Vincke, said, “So, they’re working on the evil endings right now. I’ve seen some of them. They’re really evil. So, the evil players will be satisfied with that.”
Rise up, evil gamers, your sins are about to be rewarded.
Take it all in, folks, because Larion is intending to say goodbye to D&D in its future projects – it’s like the publisher just wants to crush us like grapes. Although the bad news for fans is going to sting for the foreseeable future, at least we can see some BG3 stars in our other beloved franchises. It’s not much, but we’ll take it!

If, like me, you haven't played it evil yet, the time will soon be upon us. Stay strong and wicked out there, my fellow Tavs.
