Watch out No Man's Sky, because Larian Studios are clearly trying to outdo you in the free updates department.
Details regarding Baldur's Gate 3's latest update, titled "Patch 7", have been released by developer and publisher Larian Studios, but the news does come with an added downside.
The update, which was supposed to be available two days ago for those signed up to its closed beta test on Steam, has been delayed for a few days due to what Larian Studios has referred to as "bug-fix whack-a-mole".

According to the developer, one of the fixes they had implemented "caused passive rolls to stop working". They clarified that they're hard at work "trying to figure out how we got here, so while we do that, we’ll be pushing the Closed Beta back to later this week".
Thankfully this does mean that players who have yet to sign up for the closed beta now still have time to do so before the update launches on Steam, ahead of its full released in September.
Once the update is available, it will feature updates to its split-screen mode, improvements to the Honour Mode mechanics in Creative Mode, and a list of general performance and bug-related fixes.
Most excitingly however, the update will include several new "Evil Endings" cinematics. Larian Studios stated that the evil endings are perfect for "truly villainous playthroughs" and will feature entirely new music tracks composed by Borislav Slavov.

The update won't include the previously announced Photo Mode, which will assumedly be included as part of Patch 8 later on down the line.
Given the incredible praise the game has garnered, it's incredible to think that Baldur's Gate 3 still has further improvements and new content in store for players - even beyond Patch 7.
Although Larian Studios have already announced that they're gearing up to cease further development on the title, it's currently undetermined which patch will be Baldur's Gate 3's final update.
As nice as it would be to see them add content to the game well in the future, it would also be nice to see what the studio's plans are for their next title. I'm sure we all don't mind waiting for a good thing though.
