Assassin’s Creed fans agree Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has some of the best graphics and visuals in the entire series.
It’s no secret that Ubisoft can create some truly spectacular open worlds, filled to the brim with secrets and close attention to detail. Just take Assassin’s Creed Mirage as an example, which featured a recreation of Baghdad that was so realistic, that it reportedly made historians cry.

However, some of the best open worlds actually came from some of the worst-rated Assassin’s Creed games, namely the RPG trilogy. This consisted of Assassin’s Creed Origins, often called the best of the three, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and the topic of today’s discussion, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
While none of them are bad games, they were criticised for leaning too far away from the mainline game entries, often being viewed as spin-offs with the exception of Origins, which still featured a story related to the Order of Assassins.
As for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, it’s actually been getting a lot of love recently, with some calling it one of the best RPGs ever made, and now one of the most beautiful Assassin’s Creed games in the series.
One fan called redditor076 made a post saying: “Is Odyssey AC’s most beautiful game? … I think Odyssey gets a lot of unwarranted hate about its relation to the AC universe but as a standalone game it is very fun and engaging, and most importantly, a GORGEOUS world to play in. As far as the AC open-world games go, it has to be the most stunning.”

Fans agreed, with many pointing out that the Ancient Greek setting provided ample opportunities for jaw-dropping visuals whether your character is on land or at sea.
“I think Valhalla levelled up the visuals from Odyssey on a technical level, but Odyssey’s art direction is so much better that it makes it stand out.”
“Valhalla would get my ‘most Beautiful game’ But, Nothing has beat the view of Athens when you first crest the hill in Odyssey.”
“Of the RPG trilogy it absolutely is. Origins is a close second. Valhalla is boring all around.”

Odyssey is without a doubt a gorgeous Assassin’s Creed game, however with Assassin’s Creed Red taking the series to Japan, there’s definitely potential for Ubisoft to do even better when it comes to visual fidelity.
