Ubisoft is far from a perfect publisher, especially in light of all its recent antics, and yet it still can surprise us with positive, praise worthy news.
The praise from the Assassin’s Creed fandom is being felt far and wide for this Ubisoft download, and understandably so. According to fans, this is likely the “last major update” for AC Mirage, so the fact it’s a juicy update definitely softens that blow.
In this “incredible” freebie, gamers are spoilt for choice; Larian Studios may have the monopoly on delivering beefy updates, but Ubisoft has really tried to match that energy with this one. Promising new challenges, new outfits, and an easter egg of a new assassin “purrusing the streets”, there’s a lot to unpack.

You've surely seen the gameplay by now, but if not, it's time to check out Assassin's Creed Mirage
Alongside the additions, there are also general bug fixes and quality-of-life tweaks also worth commending. In short, you’ll be hard pushed to find a single fan unhappy with this update (though we’re sure you can find one if you’re dedicated enough to prove us wrong).
“Ubisoft Bordeaux is just incredible. Thank you so much for your continued work on making Mirage the best title it can be,” commented one gamer. Another shared, “These two big Mirage updates now added everything I wanted. I'm really glad we got this game.”

Mirage has been a breath of fresh air after the likes of Valhalla failed to soothe that AC itch we all get from time to time; it’s a fab RPG, but it doesn't feel like an AC title. Still, while it didn’t achieve everything we wanted from an AC instalment, Valhalla does have one of the best open worlds we’ve had the privilege of exploring.
But we digress; focusing on the here and now, “it's as good a time as any to start NG+”. Mirage won’t continue getting these generous updates forever, so if you want to give it another playthrough, what better way to give it that final send-off than after such a juicy update.
The Assassin’s Creed Mirage update is now live and available on all platforms.
