If there’s anything we all need in our lives right now, it’s yet another massive game to lose every single waking hour into, because we don’t have nearly enough options for that already. Seriously, was Elden Ring not enough for you people? Honestly.
But no, really, it’s always good to have some good games to pick from, and there’s no reason not to grab yourself a really great title when it’s free to download and keep. I mean, what’s not to love? I’m talking about the open-world MMORPG Black Desert, which you can currently add to your library on Steam for the low, low price of absolutely nothing.
Take a look at the trailer for Black Desert right here.
The only catch, if any, is that you don’t have long to take advantage of this promotion - it’s only free until next Wednesday (13 April) when it’ll go back to its regular price of £8.99. Still not very expensive, but y’know, it’s a lot more than “free”. You can download Black Desert from its Steam page here.

If you were looking for even more titles to fill your backlog up with, April’s PlayStation Plus games also became available to download as of Tuesday, so if you’re a subscriber, get on that. This month’s lineup isn’t… bad? Well, I guess it depends who you’re asking, so judge for yourself - there’s the multiplayer action Hood: Outlaws & Legends, the oh-so-addictive rogue-like Slay the Spire, and the colourful 3D platformer SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated.
If none of those tickle your fancy, Xbox Game Pass has also rolled in with some really strong options this month - they leaked slightly early on Tuesday, before getting officially confirmed the same day. Arguably the star of the show is the latest instalment in the Life is Strange series, True Colors, which will be available on cloud, console and PC from 12 April. True Colors was one of GAMINGbible’s top games of 2021, so it’s fair to say it has our recommendation - don’t miss out.
