Developer SimulaM has released a new developer log for their game I Am Jesus Christ which is exactly what you think it is, a first-person Jesus Christ simulator.

Reportedly coming to Steam some time this year, it’s built in the Unreal Engine 5, Epic’s latest state of the art game engine, and as such looks better than any indie project of this type should. While the story of Jesus Christ has many interpretations, this game’s story really pushes the imagination to its limits. The developer already revealed that the game will feature boss fights where you have to perform miracles and exorcise demons.

If you want to see some Jesus based gameplay, look no further than the video below.

From the Steam page the developer describes the game saying:

“Are you prepared to fight with Satan in the desert, cure the sick and help the needy? Perform over thirty iconic miracles from the feeding of the 5,000 and healing lepers to the calming of the sea, and giving sight to the blind.”

While we’re not sure what all thirty of the iconic miracles may be, one thing you will definitely be able to do is heal the sick. As spotted by Twinfinite, the 27th devlog for the game shows off some new miracles which have been added including healing those in need.

While you will be able to perform some of Jesus’ more popular acts such as the feeding of the 5,000 with only five loaves of bread and two fish, and the resurrection, the game also features some of his more understated work such as washing the feet of the poor.

There is still no word on when the game will be released but as it supposedly details Jesus’ whole life up to the Last Supper and crucifixion it is likely that we are in for a big one.
