I Am Jesus Christ is exactly what it sounds like. The first-person Jesus Christ simulator was announced back in 2019 by indie developer SimulaM. In the years since the announcement, SimulaM have posted plenty of updates on the development process of the unique game as it begins to take shape.
The game is due to launch on Steam, and is currently being built in Unreal Engine 5. For a project of this size, the graphics look great - which is exactly what we’ve come to expect from Unreal Engine 5. Back in April, we highlighted a gameplay update that showed Jesus performing miracles. Well the latest development log shows Jesus casting out demons, of course it does.
If you fancy learning more, take a look at this previous of I Am Jesus Christ's maps and quests below.
As spotted by Twinfinite, the clip shows a seemingly possessed man yelling until Jesus approaches and a winged demon leaves his body. The demon then proceeds to send blast shots towards Jesus who has to deflect them by wielding the Holy Spirit, but you have to make sure your stores of the Holy Spirit don’t run out, apparently.
The official synopsis on Steam reads, “Are you prepared to fight with Satan in the desert, cure the sick and help the needy? Perform over 30 iconic miracles from the feeding of the 5,000 and healing lepers to the calming of the sea, and giving sight to the blind.”

Unsurprisingly, I Am Jesus Christ is getting a hefty amount of attention for a small independent game. There are those who aren’t convinced about the idea of using religion in gaming and those who think it could be a good educational tool. Whatever your thoughts are, I Am Jesus Christ is scheduled to release later this year, although a final date is yet to be set.
