Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is an astonishing new lease of life for the shooter series, surging to the higher echelons of the Steam release charts upon its premiere.
Naturally, it is to be expected that it wasn't enough to topple Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2, because these two games have practically taken root on the charts like slightly sweaty redwood trees. Still, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has had a stunning go, and at the time of writing, the all time peak player count sits at 263,174 with 120,867 players in the game right now.

Praise has been levelled at the game's graphics and callbacks to classic missions and villains, plus its plot that is reminiscent of a Hollywood blockbuster over a standard Call of Duty outing. In fact, the community has suggested that the series should start to offer early access for its campaign for future entries as it allows the single-player side to shine before the masses descend on the multiplayer.

The Call of Duty Endowment (C.O.D.E) Protector Pack contains a one hour XP token, a one hour weapon XP token, ‘The Protector’ operator skin for Hutch, ‘The Protector’s Companion’ rifle blueprint, ‘Duty Calls’ rifle blueprint, ‘Frontline Stripes’ vehicle skin, ‘Tagged’ weapon charm, ‘Ready For Anything’ animated calling card, ‘Mermen’ calling card and ‘Seeing Double’ static animated emblem. Sales will contribute to the assistance of these former soldiers into full-time employment following their time in the armed forces.
