A message at the end of the video from Technoblade’s mother stated, “this past year had a lot of rough spots for our son as he battled stage four cancer. But he didn’t complain, and kept using his famous strategic mind to try to beat what he knew were almost impossible odds… My son’s bravery on this path was a shining lesson to all of us who were privileged to walk it with him.”
Known primarily for his involvement with the Dream SMP Minecraft server where a lot of famous YouTubers would hang out and create content together, Technoblade amassed a huge following thanks to his natural warmth and charm.
The YouTuber had raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for cancer charities in his lifetime, and was often cited as one of the most down to earth and humble content creators in the industry. He also noted that his “siblings are going to college” thanks to the donations from supporters.
Fans have set up a book of condolences on the Hypixel server that he used which will be passed on to his family. Our thoughts go out to his family and loved ones at this difficult time.
