Majority of The Witcher 3 players choose Triss over Yen, it turns out

More The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt players are choosing to pair Geralt with Triss over Yennefer.

Admit it. You spent your festive break replaying The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for the fifth time, didn’t you? It’s okay, we’re all guilty of it. One day, we’ll tackle our backlog. For now though, more Witcher.

As I’m sure you’re aware, CD Projekt Red finally released The Witcher 3’s highly-anticipated new-gen update last month and oh man, it is glorious. In addition to offering visuals that’ll leave you wanting to spend endless hours in photo mode, the update also added a fast travel sign inside Crow’s Perch and allows you to pet Roach - the icing on the cake, if you ask me. With this renewed interest in the game, players are once again choosing between Triss and Yennefer and you may be surprised to learn which romantic partner has proved to be the most popular.

If you haven’t yet dived into The Witcher: Blood Origin, check out the trailer below.

One Steam Community member has taken it upon themselves to gather a number of public poll results to finally settle who’s the most popular romantic option: Triss or Yen. Choosing Yen may trigger a longer questline, but her relationship with Geralt is much more fraught. Triss, on the other hand, offers a much shorter questline. At the end of the day, we all know that Yen is Geralt’s one true love, yet Triss is seemingly the more popular option.

The Steam user, screen name Alexander, found that 51% of users voted for Triss while just 49% voted for Yen. In total, 13,602 people voted for Triss with Yen just trailing behind with 13,009 votes so yes, Triss is winning but it’s very close to being a 50/50 draw.

In case you missed it, new Netflix Witcher spin-off Blood Origin has received the streaming service’s worst-ever Rotten Tomatoes score. Ouch. Not exactly the news I’d imagine they were hoping for after the Henry Cavill departure debacle.
