House Of The Dragon's latest episode skipped ten years into the future, aging up current characters and introducing us to fresh-faced contenders in the simmering conflict between the Blacks and the Greens. Aegon II Targaryen, who was a teeny toddler the last time we saw him, is now played by an actor named Ty Tennant and fans are having a field day knowing who his very famous dad is.

Obviously, spoilers for the show follow.

If you're yet to be bitten by the Westerosi bug, check out the trailer for House Of The Dragon below!

Born in 2002, Ty Tennant is the son of actress Georgia Moffett. Moffett then met David Tennant on the set of Doctor Who when she starred as the Doctor's genetically engineered daughter Jenny. The two married three years later, and Tennant adopted Ty, therefore giving him his last name. So, to cut a long story short, the guy who plays Aegon II Targaryen in the show is not Finn Wolfhard with platinum blond locks. Though the resemblance does give you pause.

Aegon is a typical teenager who isn't that interested in the political turmoil that has scarred his mother's psyche. He's a bit weird and a bit sulky and Alicent literally grabs her son to shake some sense into him about the line of succession. Of course, those who are au fait with the history of the original book, Fire & Blood, know what lies in store for Aegon in the future. We'll have to wait for the next episode to see if the show follows the canon.
