It has been way over a year since Hogwarts Legacy was released but that doesn’t mean that die hard Harry Potter fans aren’t still using it to live out their wizarding dreams.

Released in February last year by Avalanche Software, Hogwarts Legacy is the most recent video game inspired by the magical world of Harry Potter.

Check out the recent summer update for Hogwarts Legacy below!

The RPG set in Hogwarts and surrounding areas allowed players to take on the role of a witch and wizard who can experience what it would be like to be a student in the infamous school.

From playing Quidditch to taming Hippogriffs, players could explore the grounds of the school as well as head to Hogsmeade for a Butter Beer or even a duel with the local dragon.

However, what players could not do was play as the Dark Lord himself.

With the events of Hogwarts Legacy taking place around 100 years before our story kicks off in the book series, Voldemort is not yet kicking around.

However, thanks to a mod recently showcased over on r/HarryPotterGame, it is now possible to play as the Dark Lord.

The mod, created by Bangzew on Patreon, can transform the player into Voldemort himself.

This means they can apparate around the map in typical Death Eater fashion and this makes for a very cool visual.

Other than that, gameplay remains the same but you must admit that hearing Voldemort shout his iconic “AVADA KEDAVRA” is kind of epic.

The gameplay snippet provided by the Reddit user shows the Dark Lord running around (which is funny in itself) and causing chaos by dealing out the Unforgivable Curses like it's nobody’s business.

Although this is a paid mod, similar ones are also available on Nexus Mods for absolutely free.

In other Hogwarts Legacy news, one player recently discovered a hidden secret in-game which gives us a bit more information into the dark world of Horcruxes.
