Developed by Avalanche Software, Hogwarts Legacy is a dream video game for fans of the wizarding world offering immersive tales and plenty of secrets waiting to be discovered, such as the odd location that is the subject of today’s story.
Released in early 2023, Hogwarts Legacy was met with high critical acclaim across the board scoring an impressive 84 on the aggregate website, Metacritic. However, despite the positive scores and becoming the best-selling video game of 2023, it was snubbed at major ceremonies such as The Game Awards.

Yet, whether it’s exploring the halls of Hogwarts Castle, shopping in Hogsmeade Village or daring to wander into the Forbidden Forest, there is plenty of fun to be had in this popular action RPG published by Warner Bros. Games.

One other location that you can visit in Hogwarts Legacy is a place on the castle grounds called the Paved Courtyard aka The Quad, which offers a connection to the Boathouse and Viaduct.
The Quad is also a place where members of the Slytherin house like to duel from time to time. You can, of course, visit this area on foot or flying via broom, however, one player, in particular, trying to find the Slytherin hotspot got stuck in a hellish place otherwise known as ‘beyond the walls’.

Ok, saying beyond the walls sounds far more dramatic than it has any right to be, but in a nutshell, Reddit user ephemerasnape shared a clip of them attempting to reach The Quad with the sarcastic caption “The best way to find Quad Courtyard? Look for the sign.”
It’s always oddly intriguing to explore a popular video game when glitched through the environment and this is why Soulsborne YouTube channels such as Lance McDonald have remained so popular because we can sometimes see areas that the developer never intended us to see.
Hogwarts Legacy is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
