Disappointed that Hogwarts Legacy didn’t include a playable version of Quidditch?
Worry not, my friends. The launch of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is just around the corner.
The game is set to release on 3 September, coinciding somewhat nicely with the Back To Hogwarts celebrations that annually kick off on 1 September.

It’ll launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
As a nice added bonus, it’ll launch as a day one freebie on PlayStation Plus’ cheapest essentials tier with users able to claim the game for 30 days for the low cost of nothing.
If you simply cannot wait that long and are itching to get your hands on the game much sooner, you may be in luck as a major playtest is seemingly just around the corner.
Ever since Quidditch Champions was announced, there have been plenty of opportunities for Harry Potter and Hogwarts Legacy fans alike to sign up their interest in participating in a playtest, whether that be via Steam or the game’s own website.

ICYMI: Take a look at Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions in action below.
It appears that a major playtest is about to get underway. That’s according to an email posted by Reddit user stimilon.
“Congratulations, you’re invited to our biggest Quidditch Champions playtest yet,” the email reads.

The email goes on to stress that “all related information/content is private, highly confidential and under an NDA,” so “capturing screenshots or videos is strictly prohibited, as is discussing any information publicly, posting/sharing any content online or on social media or speaking to press outlets.”
It then goes on to add that invited participants will need to accept an NDA explaining the above conditions in order to get involved.
The rest of the email is cut off in the screenshot and likely for good reason. The major clue being in the “This test is extremely confidential” banner.
Many fellow members of the Hogwarts Legacy subreddit also received the invite.

“I did,” added germy813. “I forgot I signed up for it.”
“I did, but I’m going to have a ton of family visiting next week so I won’t be able to play,” wrote compass_rose8.
Unfortunately, if you’re not already on this mailing list, you likely won’t be able to get involved but if you did previously sign up, check those emails!
Just make sure you keep all contained information to yourself.
