A warm welcome to all of the new students who joined Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the past couple of days. Hogwarts Legacy is finally now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which means we only have one final launch window to go. The game lands on Nintendo Switch on 25 July.
PlayStation 4 users, in particular, are floored with how incredibly well Hogwarts Legacy runs. To celebrate the latest launch, Avalanche released a free update - available to all consoles - introducing enhanced visuals and effects, and a new mode. If you are new to Hogwarts Legacy, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players are offering one tip that all new students should know. I’ll give you a hint: it’s going to help with obtaining cool loot. What’s particularly exciting is that Avalanche have begun work on their next game. Could it be a potential sequel? For now though, a new event has been announced to entertain fans. Hogwarts Legacy: Into The Shadows is coming - and it stars Tom Felton.

Yes, Tom Felton of Draco Malfoy fame. When two wizarding eras collide. As reported by GameRant, Hogwarts Legacy: Into The Shadows was announced on Warner Bros. Games’ TikTok. It’s not exactly the DLC or expansion that fans were after, but it does sound pretty fun. Essentially, Felton is going to play through Sebastian Sallow’s storyline during a livestream - or a series of livestreams. It’s yet to be confirmed.
Announcing the news, they wrote, “It’s true then. Tom Felton has come to Hogwarts.” The streams are due to begin today, 9 May. They’ll kick off at 9AM PT, which is 5PM BST for my UK folk. Back when Hogwarts Legacy first released, fans quickly agreed that Sebastian’s storyline is one of the best parts of the game - perhaps even the ultimate crowning jewel.

On the topic of Tom Felton, some fans are convinced that the actor may return for the upcoming Harry Potter TV reboot. The “decade-long” project is set to adapt one of JK Rowling’s books per season. Felton has maintained strong ties to the franchise, and has already expressed interest in playing Draco’s father Lucius Malfoy. I could see that casting going down very well.
