A Hogwarts Legacy player says that the game has turned them into a Harry Potter fan. Are you one of those?
“That's it. Hogwarts Legacy made a Harry Potter fan out of me. Watched HP and The Sorcerer's Stone tonight,” said the newly turned fan on Reddit. “Once a day I watch the other years. I'll read the books sometime eventually.”

I’m sure the poster of this Reddit thread, RoteKrahe isn't alone on this fact and we’re sure many newbie fans into the Wizarding World began with the introduction of Hogwarts Legacy. For starters, taking place in the late 1800s, Hogwarts Legacy is a prequel to Harry Potter as well as Fantastic Beasts. So in that respect, it could be a perfect place to start.
“Congrats! My biggest hope is that the game opens a lot of people up to the wizarding world. As someone who literally grew up with Harry, It truly is special,” said Reddit user RyanB502, welcoming the new fan into the fold. “The lore, the characters….just take it all in, you won’t be sorry!”
What’s more, uncovered-history offered some great advice on an alternative to reading traditional books. “Dude, consider the books/audiobooks. They are incredible. I read them when I was deployed (was in the army from 2007 to 2011) and they literally changed my life,” they said.

Don't get me wrong, I’ll always choose a proper book over an audiobook or even a digital tablet. That being said, audiobooks can be incredible. Take for example J.R.R. Tolkiens’s The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, which is narrated by none other than Andy Serkis.
Speaking of Harry Potter and the Wizarding World fans, Hogwarts Legacy players have called out a massive plot hole in the game that makes zero sense!
Hogwarts Legacy is out now for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It will then release for PS4 and Xbox One on 4th April 2023, and then for Nintendo Switch on 25th of July.
