Set in the same Wizarding World as Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts, is Harry Potter himself in Hogwarts Legacy?
Simply put, the answer to that question is absolutely not and why is that? Because Hogwarts Legacy is set during the late 1800s, which means that it takes place around 100 years prior to the events of Harry Potter’s existence.
This also means that Harry Potter isn't even remotely close to being knee-high to a grasshopper. In fact, Harry Potter hasn't even started swimming yet! Let’s put this into more of a perspective, Newt Scamander from Fantastic Beasts wasn't born until 1897. So, we won’t be seeing the grand birth of Newt in Hogwarts Legacy.

However, Albus Dumbledore was born in 1881. So who knows, perhaps we’ll see a little baby Dumbledore? That being said, perhaps one could cast the spell of Divination with the aid of a crystal ball to reveal what the future has in store.
Sadly as well as not seeing any familiar faces at the school, it also seems like we won't be getting any Hogwarts Legacy multiplayer or even some epic Quidditch action. Well, at least for now, perhaps.
Regardless, it would be unrealistic given the time period of Hogwarts Legacy to feature its most well-known stars in the game's first outing, especially as it's a prequel to the franchise. However, perhaps this could be an avenue explored in later entries in the series. Only time will tell.
Hogwarts Legacy releases this week for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on the 10th of February or on today for those that pre-ordered the Hogwarts Legacy Collector’s Edition or Deluxe Edition.
