Hogwarts Legacy may have already received its main summer update but it appears Avalanche Software is far from done with the 2023 RPG after dropping yet another patch for players.
From teasing a New Game Plus to news of a Director’s Cut releasing online, Hogwarts Legacy has found itself back in the spotlight over recent months following its June summer update.

Although the summer update was slammed by fans for featuring no new content and basic cosmetics, it was still evidence that developers Avalanche Software was committed to updating the game and that is especially obvious now courtesy of a brand-new patch for Hogwarts Legacy.

Arriving earlier this week, this patch is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC players and aims to fix a few overall bugs as well as add some quality-of-life upgrades.
Some fixes were made for the game’s photo mode which was added courtesy of the summer update. Players will now be able to toggle the ‘Hide NPCs’ option effectively as it previously didn’t work with some students, dragons and dementors.
There have been corrections to some Arabic translations as well as improvements to stability and VFX for the PlayStation 5 version.
The Xbox Series X now has improved UI and stability for Hogwarts Legacy with the same being said for its PC version. Also for PC users, there is now a fixed instance that would cause overexposed lighting after updating NVIDIA drivers.

With a possible sequel for Hogwarts Legacy being an uncertain topic right now, fans have rallied in their thousands to call for a potential one to not go down the live-service route as was previously rumoured. As a result, multiple online petitions call for it to not introduce microtransactions and instead keep up the tried and tested RPG method.
