It has been a year since the Harry Potter inspired Hogwarts Legacy was first released. With an impressive yet controversial launch to the slowly dwindling numbers, it has been quite the rollercoaster but now the RPG is free to check out for all PlayStation Plus members.
Hogwarts Legacy burst onto PC, console and eventually the Nintendo Switch in 2023 and thanks to its connections to the well-known Harry Potter franchise, it was quite a popular title. The RPG set in the fictional and magical world of Harry Potter told the story of your wizard attending Hogwarts a century prior to the events of the series.

With fans desperate for a bit of nostalgia or just wanting to simply fly around on a broom, the RPG by Avalanche Software made for the perfect game and now it is finally available to try out for free for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

As well as receiving a huge selection of games to try out each month, PlayStation Plus Premium members can now try out various games courtesy of game trails. For no extra cost, players can take these games for a spin for a limited time with no obligation to buy.
Alongside titles such as The Last of Us Part 1, Baldur’s Gate 3, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake 2 and more, you can now try out Hogwarts Legacy to get a little taste of the action-packed RPG. Many new releases are available to try courtesy of this service so even if Hogwarts Legacy isn’t your cup of tea, it is still worth checking out if you are a member.
In related news, the PlayStation Plus free games for April are already dividing players after news that the service would be losing a total of 11 games. With some underrated titles in the firing line, there is not long left to grab them before they are gone.
