It's set to be a magical summer

Ahead of its summer update, Avalanche Software has released a trailer which takes a look at what Hogwarts Legacy players can expect with the next patch.

Set to arrive on 6 June, the Hogwarts Legacy summer update is expected to bring new features, items and quests to the magical RPG.

The update was first announced back in May but it has now received an accompanying trailer which sees the Avalanche Software team talk about what players can expect.

The headlining feature will be a photo mode, which as you can expect, adds a detailed way to take photographs of your characters and the amazing Harry Potter inspired scenery.

As well as featuring some photography must-haves such as depth of field, contrast, focus distance and exposure, there are also filters corresponding to your chosen Hogwarts House.

Additionally, the new update will allow players to redistribute their talent points. Although many players have been crying out for a NG+ mode, this is a small way you can play through the game again whilst focusing on different skills.

The Hogsmeade side quest which was once only available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users will now be made available to all players as well as the Azkaban-themed cosmetics and the Onyx Hippogriff which was once a pre-order bonus is now being distributed.

All in all, there are a few new features for Hogwarts Legacy players to look forward to on 6 June. Although there aren’t a ton of new quests, you can at least snap some pictures of your witch or wizard in some fancy poses.

In related news, Hogwarts Legacy fans are campaigning after it was rumoured that the possible sequel would be a live-service title. With live-service titles performing particularly bad in recent years, it is no wonder fans are unhappy.
