Following the release of the successful Hogwarts Legacy and the not-so-successful Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, publisher Warner Bros. has revealed that it is currently working on a new Hogwarts Legacy Director’s Cut.
Today saw a new report from Bloomberg detailing Warner Bros. massive earnings loss after the release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Although its failure greatly impacted the company, it also noted that Hogwarts Legacy was 2023’s best-selling game with 24 million copies sold.
Thanks to the success of the Harry Potter inspired game, Warner Bros. has revealed that a Hogwarts Legacy Director’s Cut is on the way.
This decision is perhaps unsurprising considering Hogwarts Legacy made an impressive $850 million in global revenue and with such a dedicated fanbase behind it, there will always be room on the market for more of the magical RPG.
Although Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier did not reveal exactly what the Director’s Cut would entail or when it would be released, it is still exciting to hear that Hogwarts Legacy still has more of a story to tell.

This is especially good news considering today’s summer update for the game is now live but left fans with a bad taste in their mouths over how little new content it includes.
With just a photo mode and a few new cosmetics, fans were left disappointed that they were not receiving new quests, features or even a NG+ mode but all of this may now come true with the arrival of the Director’s Cut.
However, with the 55GB free download offering a ton of quality of life changes and overall fixes, it is clear Avalanche Software is far from being done with their latest release.
Let us hope the Director’s Cut will live up to the hype it is already causing.
