It’s less than 24 hours to go until those with early access can get stuck into Hogwarts Legacy, and it sounds like dedicated fans are going to have to invest a lot of time into the game if they want to earn that coveted Platinum trophy.
Despite the hype, Hogwarts Legacy’s release has been surrounded by controversy. Some gamers are boycotting the game due to its connection to J.K. Rowling, who has been criticised for making harmful comments about the transgender community.

We always knew that the game was going to be enormous, but as TheGameSpoof reports, according to prominent leaker PlayStation Game Size on Twitter, Hogwarts Legacy’s trophy tracker apparently indicates that the Platinum trophy could take players between 60 and 70 hours to achieve. Based on the other details the leaker provided, this definitely seems reasonable - apparently, there will be 603 collectibles to find, 95 Merlin Trials, and 57 side quests to complete. That’s going to be no mean feat.
At the time of writing, this information isn’t official, so take it with a pinch of salt. One of Hogwarts Legacy’s developers previously stated that there’ll be over 100 side quests for players to complete, so there seems to be a bit of a discrepancy there - there’s a chance that the quests just aren’t counted in the same way in the trophy tracker, though.

By the sound of things, 70 hours still might not be enough to see everything the game has to offer. Hogwarts Legacy’s lead designer previously stated that doing absolutely everything could take between 100 and 120 hours, so there’s going to be a ridiculous amount of content to delve into.
For those who’ve preordered the Digital Deluxe Edition of Hogwarts Legacy on PS5, Xbox Series X/S or PC, early access begins at midnight (in whatever timezone you’re in) on 7 February. For those in the UK, you’ve got about 14 hours to go.
