Xbox has had a pretty major week - and we haven’t even reached Sunday’s Xbox and Bethesda showcase yet. The Xbox TV app was finally unveiled after rumours hit the web a few weeks ago. Game Pass Ultimate customers will be able to access their subscription without the need for an Xbox console if they have a Samsung TV which is a great step forwards when it comes to rolling out cloud gaming.
Xbox are also bringing back demos, so now is a great time to get a Game Pass if you haven’t already been swayed. To add to that argument, one of the most hotly-anticipated games right now is set to join Xbox Game Pass on day one.
Refresh your mind by taking a look at the Hollow Knight Silksong trailer below.
According to Twitter leaker insider_wtf (also known as The Snitch), Hollow Knight Silksong will be heading straight to Xbox Game Pass. Hollow Knight Silksong is of course the sequel to 2017’s critically acclaimed Hollow Knight. Developed by indie studio Team Cherry, Hollow Knight Silksong is yet to receive a release date.
Announced back in 2019, there’s been a worrying lack of updates on this title with the release date simply listed as ‘TBC.’ Team Cherry co-director William Pellen confirmed in February 2022 that production was still on track. Previously, it was announced that Hollow Knight Silksong would only be released to PC and Nintendo Switch but given that we haven’t had any updates in three years, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that the title could now also be launching on Xbox. Its predecessor received both a PlayStation and Xbox release.

As a source of information, The Snitch has proved to be fairly accurate as of late - announcing the line-up of Sony’s State of Play showcase correctly ahead of time. I think we’re all hoping for a Hollow Knight Silksong update soon so cross your fingers folks.
