A new Harry Potter RPG with a modern-day setting is currently available to download and play, and there's every chance it could end up bigger than Hogwarts Legacy by the end of the year.
Fans of Harry Potter got the RPG of their dreams in Hogwarts Legacy earlier this year, an open-world RPG filled with secrets and fun things to do. While we wait for news on the inevitable Hogwarts Legacy 2, there's actually another wizarding world video game you can play - and it actually ticks some boxes Hogwarts Legacy doesn't.
Take a look below!
Chances are you've already heard of Harry Potter: Magic Awakened. It launched worldwide over summer, so you may well have already played it - but if not it really should be on your radar. Especially if you're a Potter fan.

Magic Awakened is a free-to-play mobile game that gives players the chance to play as a young witch or wizard starting at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, setting up a premise similar Hogwarts Legacy. However, Magic Awakened takes place in a modern-day setting, and features plenty of familiar faces from the books and films - something we definitely missed in Hogwarts Legacy.
The game offers character customisation, plenty of skills that can be cast in the form of battle cards during duels, and online multiplayer - another thing a lot of us wanted in Hogwarts Legacy. You'll also be able to explore Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, play Quidditch, and loads of other fun stuff.
Given that Magic Awakened is both free and a mobile game, there's every chance it could ultimately end up bigger than Hogwarts Legacy - especially since it's much more likely the mobile title will continue to receive support and updates while Avalanche Software drags its feet in regards to any official Hogwarts Legacy expansions.
