Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe officially welcomes first child with Erin Darke

Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe has welcomed his first child with partner actress Erin Darke.

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has officially welcomed his first child with longtime girlfriend Erin Darke.

The couple first revealed that they were expecting back in March, a rep of the 33-year-old Harry Potter star confirmed at the time. Radcliffe and Darke have been dating for over a decade, meeting on the set of 2013’s Kill Your Darlings. It goes without saying that Radcliffe is best known for portraying the titular character in the Harry Potter film series although he’s also starred in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, The Lost City and Escape From Pretoria. Darke is also an actor, perhaps best known for her work in Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

If you’re a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owner planning on diving into Hogwarts Legacy on 5 May, take a look at what’s in store below.

As reported by Digital Spy, a spokesperson for the couple has now confirmed the birth of the duo’s first child. Further details about the baby are yet to be announced, but I think I can speak on behalf of all of us when I congratulate Radcliffe and Darke on this joyous news.

Kill Your Darlings isn’t the only instance where the couple worked together. They recently teamed up for Miracle Workers, an anthology comedy series. Both actors starred in the show, while Radcliffe also served as an executive producer. He previously spoke about the experience (via UNILAD), saying, “We definitely like [working together], but it’s not something we want to do all the time. Hopefully we’ll get to do more in the future, but we also both write so maybe we’d write something together at some point, and that would be cool.”

Speaking of Harry Potter, I’d imagine you’ve heard that there’s a reboot on the way. The “decade-long” project will faithfully adapt author JK Rowling’s books, with approximately one season dedicated to each book.
