It’s no secret that we’re all itching for an update on Grand Theft Auto VI.
After all, it’s been almost a year since Rockstar Games offered us something substantial - and that was the game’s reveal trailer.
In May, the game’s launch window was then narrowed down from a vague ‘2025’.

Take-Two Interactive confirmed that GTA VI would specifically launch in fall of next year, so we should see the game land sometime between September and November.
That means there’s officially one year or less to go.
Many were hoping that we might receive an additional update during last week’s Take-Two earnings call.
In fact, some people were even clowning for a gameplay trailer.

Unfortunately, all we received was the reiteration that GTA VI is still on track for that fall launch window, so at least the game isn’t delayed.
While we count down to then, fans are finding it bizarre that despite having not seen any official gameplay from GTA VI, GTA VII has already been confirmed.
You may as well relive the glory of GTA VI’s original trailer.
You heard me correctly.

Let’s face it, GTA VII always felt like a given.
If GTA VI is proving anything, it’s that Rockstar’s acclaimed franchise has not lost its hold over gaming enthusiasts.
This may just be the most anticipated game of all-time. A follow-up is surely a no brainer.
Even still, it’s interesting to hear that follow-up confirmed.

Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick previously spoke at the TD Cowen 52nd Annual Technology, Media & Telecom Conference where he was asked about the future of the franchise.
“GTA VII?” he teased.
It’s only a light-hearted jest but even still, many are roasting even this mere mention.
“GTA [VII] in the works … until your first grandkid is born,” wrote Reddit user AdIndependent9142.

“Are they being f**king serious right now bro?” added another user.
Fair to say, it’s likely best if we simply set our sights on GTA VI for now. That marketing campaign will surely ramp up in the coming months.
