Grand Theft Auto VI is the only Rockstar game likely to arrive with this generation of consoles, according to recent insider claims.
As of right now, we have yet to receive any official updates on the long-awaited GTA VI from Rockstar Games. Various reports suggest that the game is in development, but when exactly Rockstar intends to reveal and release the game is currently anyone's guess.
Most recently, notable Battlefield leaker Tom Henderson claimed that we might not see GTA VI until as late as 2025. Others have suggested that development is a "mess", and that work on the game has been restarted several times.
Given this, it might not be too surprising to learn that the game is apparently the only one Rockstar will deliver on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. This is according to leaker AccountNGT, who has claimed on Twitter that they believe GTA VI is the only game Rockstar will release this generation.
Take this with a massive pinch of salt, of course. There's every chance that Rockstar is cooking up projects that AccountNGT doesn't even know about, for one thing. There are also the recent rumours that Rockstar recently restarted development on Bully 2, implying that we might get at least two games from the developer this generation.
With that said, it is worth noting that Red Dead Redemption 2 was the only brand-new game Rockstar launched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One if we don't count remasters. Considering that, it's not a huge stretch to assume that a game as ambitious as GTA VI would be the PS5/Xbox Series generation's only Rockstar release. Hell, It's not like the company would need to launch anything else ever again to make money, after GTA VI, right?
