Some Grand Theft Auto fans believe that a GTA VI tease may have been spotted following a recent update from Rockstar Games.
In 2021, Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, a remastered collection featuring the classics, GTA III, GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas. Unfortunately, what was released was far from “definitive”.
Check out the GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition trailer below!
These remasters should have been quite straightforward. Increase the resolution, boost the framerate, and make some quality-of-life improvements.

Yet, the visuals of each game looked far from remastered. Instead, the games were buggy and had stuttering framerates.
It’s fair to say that the GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition was a colossal flop.
However, earlier this week, to everyone’s surprise, Rockstar Games deployed a massive update for GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, seemingly improving all the wrongs of the 2021 release.
That being said, a Redditor has shared a couple of comparison images from a source believed to originate from Twitter that might be the most subtle tease ever for GTA VI. I could be wrong, but this appears to be clutching at straws.

“GTA VI texture found in GTA Trilogy update files,” said Redditor user Skindiamondxx. “I saw this posted on X, allegedly discovered by someone on GTA Forums, but I can't find the source, so I'm not sure if it's real.”
“Once again, I am convinced that some people have a diamond eye. That's impressive,” replied LoveKills2005.
“Grove Street Games' intro screen has now been removed from GTA The Trilogy DE and apparently Rockstar is working on it and it's them that delivered the update,” said DrHienzDoofenshmirtz.

“If we don't get a second trailer soon, some of us might just die,” warned LucaTuber.
However, as spotted by this GTA Forums user, it appears that this texture is not newly implemented, with Rockstar Games instead simply fixing its orientation.
“This texture is not new with the patch, they just fixed its orientation,” said the post in the forum.
It wouldn't surprise me if Rockstar Games used subtle tactics like this to tease upcoming games but as I said earlier, I think this connection is clutching at straws.
