Rockstar Games just made a Grand Theft Auto-related announcement and, no, it’s not for Grand Theft Auto VI… and it seems fans are starting to lose their patience with them.
Every time I get a notification for one of my Rockstar Games alerts, I know there’s a 99.99% is some complete rubbish about GTA Online and definitely not any kind of useful update about Grand Theft Auto VI.
Now, I know whoever runs the Rockstar Games socials has to advertise their games. That isn’t their fault. You can’t just suddenly drop all of your other games because the internet is expecting you to talk about one, very specific title.

But, uh, well Twitter is full of very angry people so… I guess that little bit of nuance doesn’t matter too much to them.
This brings us to today, because Rockstar Games has just announced that there’s a brand new event that will earn you 2X GTA$ and RP in GTA Online, which naturally has caused everyone in the comment section to absolutely lose it.
“One more tweet about 2x anything and I’m going to snap,” commented user @XxV010C1TYxX.
“Bro actually stop milking the ever living crap out GTA online. Everytime I get a notification that Rockstar posted I get so excited,” replied another user.

“Then when I click on it it's some f**k ass gta online exclusive.... Like we don't care bro. Start marketing Gta 6 already.”
I get that people are mad about the lack of news regarding Grand Theft Auto VI but, c’mon guys. The poor person they’re paying to Tweet that there’s some new GTA Online content on the way doesn’t get to decide when GTA VI’s second trailer is gonna drop.
Besides, you’ll all be singing their praises as soon as it does so, can we all just agree to chill out a little until then? Sheesh.
